He could be a pain in the butt but damn, could he hit. And he was far and away the most entertaining figure in New England sports over the past decade, possibly ever.
I know why the Sox pulled the trigger but man, I'm gonna miss him. And I''m not alone. It just won't be the same without you, Manny. Thanks for the memories.

I was a little confused on this one, too. Was he dogging it lately? I mean, they can't have sent him just 'cause he was being an ass. He's been an ass since day one, but an ass who can hit!
He was really an ass this time. I won't go into the details but one of them involved faking an injury, to which the Sox's response was to do an MRI and then publish the negative results to the press.
I have to say that's the one thing that's put me off of Manny. He's not very smart about his grandstanding foolishness. He seems to think it's all cute in a sort of "I'm only a kid" kind of way that rubs me wrong. If you're going to play the system, well, fine, but don't do it stupidly.
